Suspension rates have declined rapidly in the last three years but some people believe that less suspension means a less safe school.  An Oakland Tech student won the San Francisco Broadway world awards in the category of “Best Leading Actress” in a play and several other students came close to winning the same award for “Best Scenic Design.”  Oakland Tech, like the rest of California, is in the strange situation of grappling both with El Nino rains and a persistent drought. Oakland Tech continues to play host to celebrities as Hugh Jackman joins Marshawn Lynch and Josh Johnson at a football clinic. You can read all of this and more in the latest issue of The Scribe.
